  1. Plantation in deserts will result in equal distribution of rainfall all over the world and when the dry deserts will be turned into forest ,it will serve itself as  the habitat of a large number of  species.

  2. it requires the municipal commissioner to make rainwater harvesting compulsary in all co-op housing societies & those who do so will get a 5-10% rebate in the municipal taxes as in pune.  since many members may not be willing to pay for it then the money can be taken from the corpus or sinking fund of the society the cost of which comes to only  about RS 5 lacs for 100 flats.  in new constructions occupation certificate will not be given until rainwater harvesting system is installed.  this will eliminate the the need for tankers every year as has been done in my society in pune.  this will make the city self sufficient for water in the summer season.

  3. Yes. We have unique technologies as well as solutions for water and wastewater. But it is not important that we have the technologies, what we do is get into Policy Advisory to the Municipalities.
