  1. Dryden Aqua conducted 3 years of research with the DST and European Commission under an FP7 program to try and solve the issue of Arsenic in Ground water.  The research was conducted in West Bengal, project website www.Eco-India.eu.  Out of the project new technology was developed,  www.CleanAquaForEver.com and the Cafe filter which is a low cost sustainable solution.  Over 1 million people are now on the filter media AFM in India for their drinking water and Cafe Technology is now being taken forward by a new social enterprise company CleanWater Water Ltd.

  3. Generally  and major cause of  ground water arsenic  contamination is due to oxidation of arseno-pyrite at any water depth . Some times ,  leaheting of pesticides  , fertilizers and other industrial wastes causes ground water arsenic contamination which is  higher at the starting water depth and contamination decreases with the increase of water depth . Please refer to my research paper on this issue by browsing "  https://www.researchgate.net/project/Special-Issue-on-Arsenic' in which arsenic contamination at shallow depth is due to leacheting of industrial wastes etc
