Thats something very interesting. I had been looking for some studies on water cycle in Indian context and first paper I am finding worth reading. I had been asking many consultants and so called "experts" whether they focus on local water cycle or not. Nowdays It is accepted fact that the "water cycle" is not so much natural as We think and there are many anthropogenic interference in it. The question is whether We have tried to understand that man made disturbances in natural water cycle in Indian context or not. Also some years ago I had come across few academic papers which focus on studying local water cycle for effective water management within that catchment. I believe a mapping of localized, city wide or catchment area wide water cycle would certainly help us narrow down the problem areas and approach We can take up to tackle the issues.
